God Made Everything, and It Was Good
Week 1 (Dec 29, 2025 – Jan 4, 2026)
Devotion
🟢 GREEN
As we begin this journey together, we start where the Bible starts, with God as Creator. The green colour reminds us that the world we live in is not an accident, and that our lives are not meaningless. God made everything, and he made it good.
Before we talk about sin, rescue, or mission, we are reminded that the God who sends us is the God who lovingly made this world and everyone in it. As we begin a term of Mission, this truth gives us confidence: the world we are sent into already belongs to God. The world is not an accident, and human life is not meaningless. God made everything, and it was good.
Colossians reminds us that creation itself finds its meaning in Jesus: “For in him all things were created… all things have been created through him and for him” (Colossians 1:16, NIV). Mission begins not with techniques, but with confidence, a confidence that this world belongs to God, and that he is already at work in it.
