God’s Path and Being Present for Others [Megan’s Story]
Megan’s story is one of faith and daily trust in God. In this Chip Lunch, she reflects on the challenges she’s faced with anxiety and uncertainty, and the ways God has gently guided her.
One of the themes Megan comes back to is how she manages anxiety in practical ways. She explains that movement has been one of the best tools God has given her. “It’s very much a way that I can move my body and help my brain,” she says. Simple actions like walking or keeping a routine provide space to breathe, slow down, and remember God’s presence even when her thoughts feel overwhelming.
Alongside her personal journey, Megan shares how important it has been for her to be present for others. This doesn’t mean grand gestures or dramatic interventions. It looks more like noticing the small opportunities to encourage someone and stepping into them. “Sometimes it’s just reaching out to a friend, or listening to their story. It doesn’t have to be a big thing — just being there makes a difference.”
Her life shows how God works through these ordinary moments. Times when she has felt weighed down by her own uncertainty have often become when she’s been able to extend care to someone else. She recalls moments of listening to friends in their struggles, offering quiet support without needing to have all the answers. Through these experiences, Megan has seen how empathy and presence can be powerful ways of pointing people back to God’s love.
Looking back, she describes how her journey has deepened her awareness of God’s guidance. Even when the way forward hasn’t been clear, she has come to see that God has laid out a path. And as she’s walked that path, opportunities to bless and encourage others have appeared — not in spectacular ways, but in steady, everyday faithfulness.
